New Hope Intervention Programs

Description

*Program designed specifically for domestic violence offenders offering batterer's intervention and anger management services *Offers Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP) for men and for women (separate groups); program consists of 26 weekly psycho-educational sessions, each 90 minutes in length; meetings are two halves, first half is an informational segment; second half, participants break into small therapy groups to discuss information presented and gain insight on a personal level as awareness of previous abusive patterns is developed; Other services: assessments and counseling for individuals, families, couples and victims and perpetrators of domestic violence, practice includes therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral *Therapy, Solution-focused therapy, Crisis Intervention, Narrative Therapy, as well as strengths based and problem-solving interventions; techniques used include art, music, writing, and talk therapy

Eligibility

DOC, Child Welfare, Court ordered batterers on probation or parole, community, and self referrals are accepted

Fees

Fees are based on a sliding scale starting at $15 per session; plus an assessment fee of $60 for men, no assessment for women; Anger management programs include 5 one hour weekly meetings ($10 each), or a 1-day 5 hour workshop held one Saturday per month ($50) Fees are based on a sliding scale starting at $15 per session; plus an assessment fee of $60 for men, no assessment for women; Anger management programs include 5 one hour weekly meetings ($10 each), or a 1-day 5 hour workshop held one Saturday per month ($50); all fees are payable by cash or money order only on the day of class
