Description:
*Helps low-income families acquire modest homes built using volunteer labor
*Applicants: must be able to provide 400 hours of sweat equity performing various jobs, lived in Leon or Gadsden Counties for one year or more, held same job or source of income for 6 months or more, have household income within income guidelines, must be willing to make a small cash down payment, be willing to live on a lot provided by Habitat for Humanity
*Mortgages: 30 years, houses sold at cost (materials, purchased labor, and land), for no profit and no interest
*By June 2023 United Way funding is expected to result in the acquisition of land for 2 small subdivisions with a total of 10-16 sites for homes
