Description:
*Safe short-term crisis shelter for youth ages 10-17, for up to 2 weeks stay, includes domestic violence respite and probation respite
*Youth can self-admit, but CCYS will contact parents of a runaway within 24 hours to ensure the youth is willing to stay at CCYS. CCYS will assess each case to determine the best course of safety for the youth.
*Voluntary time-out program that provides parents and children a cooling off period and an opportunity to address problems calmly and encourages child and family to set and meet goals to be able to resolve family conflicts and live civilly together
*Services include family, youth, and group counseling; 24-hour awake supervision; goal setting instruction; personal development strategies; referrals for external services, including: medical, dental, legal, transitional living; opportunities for recreational activities and community service outlets for youth to give back; Art & Music Therapy sessions
