*ONLY TAKING SCREEENING CALLS MONDAYS FROM 9AM TO 10AM; DUE TO THE HIGH CALL VOLUME MANY WILL EXPERIENCE A BUSY SIGNAL, DISCONNECTION, OR A MESSAGE SAYING THE LINE IS NOT IN SERVICE
*IF A CALLER GETS THROUGH TO VOICEMAIL DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE, THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE A RETURN CALL OR BE CONTACTED IN ANY WAY, ONLY THOSE WHO GET THROUGH TO A LIVE PERSON WILL BE ABLE TO BE SCREENED FOR AN APPLICATION
*AN APPOINTMENT TO APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE IS REQUIRED; call Monday mornings between 9AM and 10AM for a pre-screening interview to find out if eligible for an appointment
*Utility and rental assistance procedures and eligibility:
*Must meet income guidelines, due to funding source inability to pay bill must be a related to a specific financial hardship, available only once every 12 months
*Can only pay current month's bill, cannot pay past bills, deposits or closed accounts, utilities must still be connected, payment must ensure another 30 days of service
*Have utility bill in hand when calling; do not leave a message as staff is not available to return calls
*Any documents required must be brought to the first appointment as a physical copy; no email attachments or screen shots or any other form will do
*When the office is closed on a Monday for a state holiday or other reason, in almost all cases utility assistance calls are taken at the same time on Tuesday
