*Non-profit fraternal organization for fellowship and social service providing therapy, scholarships, and summer camps for children *Mobile units provide free in-home physical or occupational therapy for Florida children, birth to 18 years of age, meeting eligibility criteria *Scholarships offered to college students demonstrating leadership through participation in school activities, community service and citizenship programs; students sometimes work to help out their families financially *Summer camp located in Marion County open to all children, 9-13, small fee; last week for children of military and veteran parents; paid youth counselors earn scholarships after several years of work

FSU, Camp Kesem

*Camp Kesem serves children who have lost a parent to cancer, have a parent undergoing cancer treatment, or whose parent is a cancer survivor *Free six-day camp for 60 children ages 6-18 offering sports, drama, arts and crafts, nightly cabin chats, and the "Empowerment" ceremony intended to honor all camper parents and their individual family's journey *2020 date is July 26th - August 1st at Camp Warren Willis in Fruitland Park, Florida *A bus leaves from the FSU campus for transport to the camp or parents can drive children to camp *Family days are held in Tallahassee three days per year *Fundraiser usually in February; Spring Friends + Family Day usually held in October; check web site

*Informal educational organization and social program for girls under adult leadership *Activities geared to grade levels starting at Daisies (K-1st), Brownies (2nd-3rd), Juniors (4th-5th), Cadettes (6th-8th), Seniors (9th-10th) and Ambassadors (11th-12th) and are designed to help to build confidence, character and courage through decision-making and leadership skills *Week long summer camps available cost $450 for members and $500 for non members; yearly aquatic camps in the spring to teach sailing and other aquatic activities fees vary depending on equipment needed; cost can be offset by cookie sales *Council serves more than 4,000 girls, and 2,000 adult volunteers in all Panhandle counties
