CTD, Gulf ARC & Transportation, Franklin County
*Provides contracted transportation services for Medicaid recipients and CTD qualified persons living Franklin and Gulf Counties
*Non-emergency transportation for anyone of any age in need: (1) Medicaid recipients; (2) seniors and other persons who qualify as "Transportation Disadvantaged" due to disability, low-income, age or other extenuating circumstances
*Transportation arrangements to health care appointments for Medicaid clients is made by the HMO to which the client is assigned; the client does NOT make the arrangements with a provider directly
*Persons who do not know if they are in a Medicaid HMO should call AHCA, Medicaid Area 2B Field Office: 800-248-2243 or 850-412-4002 to find out
*CTD qualified riders should call the local provider directly 48-72 hours in advance to make arrangements for transportation; CTD application needed for lower cost
*Persons not in a Medicaid HMO can still use the local provider, but will have to pay out of pocket, unless a grant covers them
*May have 1 free escort if necessary; parent(s) needing to take additional children to appointment must pay a fare for them
*If a car seat is needed for an underage child, adult must supply it
*Toll service is free for those with upper body disability including veterans
