*Applications now done through DCF Access Florida *Medicaid Family Planning Waiver (aka Family Planning Medicaid for Today's Woman) *Special Medicaid waiver extending for up to two years Medicaid coverage for women ages 14-55 who have lost full Medicaid coverage *Limited to annual physical exams and pap tests, pregnancy tests, and all forms of birth control including outpatient tubal ligations *Covers STD and colposcopy services if performed within six weeks of the physical exam *Women with a recent pregnancy automatically enrolled in the program for first year of coverage, must re-apply for second year *Women with Medicaid Share of Cost (Medically Needy) may have Medicaid FP Waiver at the same time

*Legal representation in felony and misdemeanor cases, juvenile, mental health commitment cases, traffic cases, and criminal appeals *Clients must be determined to be indigent in court before the Public Defender can begin representation *Veterans Treatment Court: Leon County office represents qualified veterans charged with misdemeanors and non-serious felonies; extensive treatment for substance abuse and other issues offered; veterans from outside the 2nd circuit may ask to be transferred into it

Jefferson County Clerk of the Circuit Court

*Serves the judicial circuit involving felony jurisdiction matters including Criminal Activity, Criminial Appeals, Small Claims, Traffic, Civil/Civil Appeals, Tax Deeds, Family Law, Probate, Marriage Licenses and injunctions *Calls citizens for jury duty *County Recorder: legal documents (liens, mortgages, marriages, adoptions, etc), and authorizes declaration of domicile and residency affidavits *Tax deed sales of public auctions advertised in legal advertisements *Temporary injunctions to assist victims of domestic violence or repeat violence *Serves the Circuit and County Courts and the Board of County Commissioners, acting as accountant, auditor and custodian of county funds

SHIP, Jefferson, Wakulla, & Taylor Programs

*Three programs help increase affordable and safe housing for homeowners in Jefferson, Taylor and Wakulla Counties *First time buyers should first contact a mortgage company to be qualified, then contact Government Services Group to see if a program is open in their county *Demo and Reconstruction assists very low income households whose homes are determined to be more than 51% structurally unsound; damage must not be due to intentional neglect or abuse; program levels qualifying homes and rebuilds them *Down Payment Assistance helps very low to moderate income families in purchasing a home with closing costs and down payment, or with building a new home *Rehabilitation Assistance offers very low to low income families help with repairs: broken windows, deteriorated floors, leaking roofs, etc *Disabled and elderly persons given priority on all programs
