*Children's Emergency Center designed for and by children using board-certified physicians at TMH collaborating with board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville incorporating telemedicine when needed and special amenities for children *Located on 2nd floor of Tallahassee Memorial Emergency Center - Northeast *Physicians, nurses and other caregivers receive specialized pediatric emergency courses on an on-going basis *Symptoms addressed at the center: *High fever: younger than 3 months with temperature of 100.

TMH, COPE for HOPE

*COPE: Creating Opportunities for Parent Empowerment focuses on improving physical and mental health outcomes for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) patients and their families at no cost *Parents receive one-on-one educational and developmental counseling, along with CD's and other educational materials

*Treats all types of emergencies *Children's Emergency Center is located on the second floor and is affiliated with the Wolfson Children's Hospital of Jacksonville *Chest pain, stroke, head or back injuries, trouble breathing, severe allergic reaction, major burns and cuts, loss of consciousness, fever over 102 with severe headache, trouble breathing or faintness, pregnancy complications, poisoning, and other major emergency health concerns *Dedicated lab, radiology, and pharmacy on site *If an ER patient needs to be admitted to the hospital, the ER-NE provides transportation to the main campus at no cost to the patient *Minor health problems treated more quickly at the Urgent Care Center, 1541 Medical Dr, 32308; call ahead (850) 431-6824
