Wakulla County Habitat for Humanity/Store

*Builds very modest homes sold at cost (materials, purchased labor, and land), for no profit and no interest with a 20 year mortgage to families that qualify and donate work hours on other homes *To qualify for a Habitat Home homeowners must demonstrate a need for safe, affordable housing, Habitat homeowners must partner with us throughout the process by helping to build their own home or the homes of others in our home ownership program, homeowners must also be able and willing to pay an affordable mortgage, for more information and to learn more about the process or how you can apply, please contact your local Habitat, or call 1-800-HABITAT (1-800-422-4828).

Wildwood Church, Our Father's Storehouse

*Free groceries and clothing for families in need 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 5PM-7PMm at Wildwood Church Fellowship Hall, 100 Ox Bottom Rd (corner of Meridian Rd and Ox Bottom Rd); groceries and clothes distributed based on family size *Form needs to be filled out at every visit, but ID not needed *Availability depends on church members who volunteer time, food, and donations

Women's Pregnancy Center of Madison, A

*Offers free pregnancy testing and assists women in carrying pregnancy to full term *Free and confidential information to women and men facing possible unplanned pregnancies; post abortion care *Maternity and baby clothes up to the baby's sixth month when mothers participate in a parenting education program *There are often a variety of infant supply available, sometimes according to availability: diapers, wipes, bassinettes, pak-n-play kits, and formula when available

Your Penny's Worth Thrift Shop

*Affiliated with Trinity Episcopal Church but in a different location *Volunteer-run thrift shop that supplies free clothing for persons who qualify and low cost clothing for anyone *Persons needing free clothing should have validation of need via written note or phone call from a social service or helping agency: Community Action Agency, a church, sheriff, fire department, landlord, or health care provider *If unable to get validation, call or come anyway; includes homeless and transient persons *Outreach Ministry can assist with prescription expense when funding available through Trinity Episcopal Church
