*Assists new Medicaid recipients in enrolling in a Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) plan, formerly known as a Medicaid HMO, as well as Long-Term Care (LTC) *Assists Medicaid recipients who are already enrolled in a Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) plan to change to a different plan if needed or desired *Almost all Medicaid members receive their health care services through a managed care plan.

*Helps resolve prescription problems for persons who have the Medicaid Family Planning Waiver or straight Medicaid or Medicaid Share of Cost (aka Medically Needy) or any form of Medicaid that is Not a Managed Medical Assistance MMA Plan (formerly known as a Medicaid HMO) *For Medicaid Family Planning Waiver issues: the pharmacy may need to enter "Code 6" under the Medicaid Certification in their billing system *Can be used by the caller or pharmacy staff when there is difficulty getting a prescription filled that the caller believes should be covered by Medicaid *Can also provide caller with their Medicaid ID number if needed *Call center is Not for persons on a Managed Medical Assistance MMA Plan; those persons need to call their plan provider for any prescription issues

*AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) provides pharmaceuticals to low-income, uninsured and underinsured non-Medicaid eligible persons with HIV/AIDS in Florida; all antiretrovirals and many other drugs to prevent opportunistic infections are available through this program *Potential clients should first contact their local Ryan White Part B Agency *In order to get ADAP, patients must become eligible by obtaining a letter of eligibility for HIV/AIDS Patient Care Program Services from a Ryan White Part B Agency *Exception: Miami-Dade callers should call the Department of Health, HIV/AIDS program office in Miami *There is also assistance in some cases for clients who have Medicare Part D
