Franklin Toy Project, Toys for Tots

*Project is coordinated by Franklin's Promise Coalition, in conjunction with the US Marine Corps, Toys for Tots program *Program provides gifts for children ages birth through 16 in need at Christmas/Holiday time, living in Franklin County *Deadline to register for Christmas 2018 is Friday, December 7th *Children can be registered by parents (if separated or divorced, by parent with custody or child's legal guardian) *There are 3 ways to register: 1) Parents actively participating in services with Franklin's Promise or one of it's partners (such as Healthy Families, CareerSource Gulf Coast, DCF or other program with a case manager) may ask the case manager to register for them 2) Parents may ask their child's school guidance counselor to register for them 3) Parents not participating in a program with a case manager or school guidance counselor may go to Franklin's Promise Administrative office to register at 75 School Road in Eastpoint (the Franklin County School District Offices, aka the old Brown Elementary School) For these parents, the following documents are required: 1) Photo ID (can be driver's license, state picture ID card, passport or Permanent Resident Card, And 2) Proof of Food Stamps (can be application or letter from DCF or a denial of service letter; this is only used to verify that the child and parent live together and are Franklin County residents) *Parents unable to get to Franklin's Promise may call and request a volunteer to come to the home *Toy pick-up will be on December 20th, 10am-4pm at the following locations: *For Carrabelle: the Fire Department; for Eastpoint: Brown Elementary Gymnasium at 75 School Rd; for Apalachicola: Franklin Food Pantry at 192 14th St *** A photo ID is absolutely required to pick up gifts *Volunteers and donations of money, toys, clothing or adoption of a family are needed
