*Provides rent free housing for students 25 and younger with outstanding academic abilities (3.0 cumulative GPA), good character and financial need at one of six Florida universities: Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Florida, Santa Fe College, Tallahassee Community College, Florida A&M University, Florida State University
*Students live in scholarship houses and operate the house through basic rules, elected officers and members living cooperatively with 10 to 23 other residents of the house
*Each student must pay a one-time $300 reservation fee, $150 is refundable when a student leaves Southern Scholarship Foundation (SSF) in good standing and a Food & Service Bill that averages $1000-$1200 per semester to cover the household expenses of food, utilities, cable, laundry, internet, and maintenance
*Free mental health counseling available
*Application online, deadlines November 1st (for the Spring Semester) and April 1st (for the Fall Semester)
