Description:

*Low rent housing for families, pregnant women, elderly persons or disabled individuals who meet income requirements
*Two different waiting lists, one for one and two bedroom homes and the other for three and four bedroom homes; typically average of 12 months waiting list
*Persons in working families, job training/school enrolled or victims of domestic violence can be placed on preference list (SSI recipients, disabled and pregnant persons can qualify for housing as a family of one)
*Program can also give referral for Section 8 housing
*Public housing is limited to low-income families and individuals. Eligibility is based on Annual Gross Income and assets
