Update 3/26/2024: *Working directly with the Big Bend Continuum of Care; Homeless individuals can call on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 9AM; They will be screened and their information sent to the BBCOC for processing *PROGRAM IS ONLY FOR FAMILIES OR INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE CURRENTLY HOMELESS *Helps homeless adults with or without children who have regular income to get into rental apartments or housing *For qualifying persons, may be able to pay security and utility deposits, first and last month's rent, utility assistance required to establish permanent housing *For this program, Homeless is defined as living on the street, in a car, hotel/motel, campground, travel trailer park or at the shelter or other transitional housing facility *Persons sharing housing with others or couch surfing may also qualify depending on the funding source *Persons or families trying to flee domestic violence, sexual violence or other dangerous situation may also qualify depending on the funding source *Eligibility: *Must be currently homeless *Must have regular verifiable source of income that is an adequate amount to be able to pay rent, utilities and all other monthly bills once the individual or family becomes re-housed.
