Description:
*Mentoring program that matches mentors with youth ages 5-18, for one-on-one assistance in Title 1 elementary schools, mentors assist students with schoolwork and give individual attention in areas of academic deficiency, which results in greater academic success, also matches youth ages 6-14 with individual mentors who meet with them at least twice a month for a minimum of four hours to work on academic difficulties, career/college achievement, and positive social and emotional development
*Participating youth must be enrolled by the age of 15, but once enrolled may receive services up to age 18; services may be limited in Big Bend counties outside of Leon; call for further information
*Volunteers must be18 years of age or older, complete an FBI fingerprint-based background check, and reference check
