Description:
*Minimum 20-week program for middle and high school students, ages 11-18, who are experiencing behavioral and/or substance abuse problems
*Program meets every day after school for approximately 3 hours, during which time youth participate in individual, family, and group counseling
*Counselors work closely with the young person and his or her family to prevent or eliminate adolescent substance abuse, improve self-esteem, create effective discipline, and improve family communication
*Currently serving all of Leon County high and middle schools, four elementary schools
*Weekly outpatient counseling available to children, adolescents and young adults
*Free transportation may be provided
*Free on-site school assessment and referral services for students whose behavior is a concern
