Description:
*Private, non-profit organization assisting youthful non-violent offenders, ages 11-17, either at risk for juvenile delinquency or already involved with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice system
*Youth work towards a high school diploma or GED and participate in curriculum of life skills, academic and vocational training, IT certification and computer hardware training during regular school hours
*Family Services program provides home-based family counseling and intervention counselors that make regular visits to the home to work with the youth and their family to address issues that may be causing delinquent behavior
*Gadsden County Sheriff's Office collaborates with students providing 20 mentors to show the softer side of police work and focusing on how choices made today effect future life
*Youth may be referred by parents/guardians or the Juvenile Justice system
