*A private, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting youthful offenders, ages 11-17, in becoming functioning members of society
*Youth participate in several programs: residential, day treatment, family services, prevention and service coordination
*Education is opens their world to possibilities: alternative education, after school, centers for academic discipline and vocational training and job placement; AMIkids often works with foster care kids, offering relationship-based treatment, guidance and housing until permanency options are available
*Students must be referred by Juvenile Justice; programs located all over Florida, and Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia
