*Program for persons with a disability who have been a victim of a crime or have become disabled as the result of a crime
*Disabilities can be physical or mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, etc. Disabilities can be self-reported
*Offers crisis counseling, guidance, emotional support, information and referrals, advocacy and follow up
*In-person information, referrals and advocacy may include helping the victim find needed resources assistance with securing rights, filing crime victims compensation claims for financial assistance related to losses, and other aspects of criminal justice support as needed
*Independent living skills training may be provided to assist victims in developing safety plans and teaching activities of daily living related to the disability
*When calling, persons should specifically ask for Crime Victims Assistance personnel
