Description:
*Builds very modest homes sold at cost (materials, purchased labor, and land), for no profit and no interest with a 20 year mortgage to families that qualify and donate work hours on other homes
*To qualify for a Habitat Home homeowners must demonstrate a need for safe, affordable housing, Habitat homeowners must partner with us throughout the process by helping to build their own home or the homes of others in our home ownership program, homeowners must also be able and willing to pay an affordable mortgage, for more information and to learn more about the process or how you can apply, please contact your local Habitat, or call 1-800-HABITAT (1-800-422-4828).
*Most of the work is done by volunteers
*Program does not do repair work on homes
*Thrift store accepts household items such as furniture, appliances, doors, sinks and hot water heaters that do not need repairing to be re-sold to help finance home building
