*Program is for families or individuals who are Currently Homeless
*For this program, Homeless is defined as living on the street, in a car or at the shelter; persons living with a friend or family member will not qualify
*Helps homeless families with minor children or individuals who have regular income to get into rental apartments or housing within the city limits of Tallahassee
*For qualifying persons, may be able to pay security and utility deposits, first month's rent, and in some cases back payment of past due utilities (in order to get utilities turned on)
*Eligibility: 1) Must be currently homeless
2) Must have regular verifiable source of income that is an adequate amount to be able to pay rent, utilities and all other monthly bills once the family becomes re-housed. All sources of income will be considered (such as food stamps, disability income, child support, etc.)
3) Can not have received rapid re-housing funds in the past 3 years
5) Highly preferable to get a referral through a homelessness service provider (Kearney Center, HOPE Community, Community Action Agency, Salvation Army, etc.). If the person is not currently receiving services through a homelessness service provider s/he can call Catholic Charities directly; Choose option for Emergency Services
