Description:

*AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) is a residential volunteer program for young adults 18 - 26 who want to serve full-time in the Traditional AmeriCorps NCCC or the FEMA Corps
*Members will be provided basic housing, transportation, and food and will earn a small living stipend and educational credit to pay for education or student loans
*Members are assigned to one of four regional campuses where they remain during initial training and return to campus between projects for a 3-9 day !€œtransition,!€ the remainder of the time is spent on projects in the assigned region
*Corps Members are responsible for completing Corps Training Institute (CTI) (3.5 week, earning 1700 service hours, participating in physical training and contributing to various team activities)
*Post service education awards are earned upon completion of program and may be used to pay educational expenses at eligible post-secondary institutions, including many technical schools and G.I. Bill approved programs, or to repay qualified students loans; the dollar amount of the education award is equal to the maximum amount of the U.S. Department of Education Pell Grant and may change year to year.
