Description:
*Possibly able to work out Payment Plans, Payment Arrangements or an Extensions based on the individual situation
*Customer must have had service for six months prior to requesting payment plan and not have had any disconnects, returned checks or other delinquencies in that previous six months; however, City will work with customers who have not had service for six months on a case by case basis
Customers who have applied for utility payment assistance with a social service agency and are waiting on an answer should give this information when they call
*Call center is open 6am-11pm every day except Christmas. When call volume is high, callers will be given the option of leaving a call back number without losing their place in the queue if they are on hold over 5 minutes.
*Medical Alert program gives priority to customers with life supporting equipment that requires continuous electricity to sustain life; this program requires the certification of their physician and will not prevent suspension of service but will allow additional time before suspension
*Handles citizens' inquiries concerning service initiation, transfer, termination and utility billing, energy audits, low interest loans, and grants to be used by for energy conservation
*Loans for water heaters, air conditioning, heating, roof and window replacements available
*There are several ways to make payments: electronically, by phone, in person at several locations; call or see website for all payment options and in person locations
