Description:
*Short-term outpatient mental health counseling to currently enrolled FSU students including individual, group, and couples counseling, crisis intervention, substance abuse evaluation and counseling, eating disorder treatment offered face-to-face, by phone, and telemental health online via Zoom
*Services covered by student fees, no out-of-pocket expenses; enrolled FSU students may include a partner or spouse for couples counseling as long as one person is an FSU student
*Services are performed by licensed psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, treatment coordinators and a mental health education coordinator supervising doctoral, masters, and practicum interns; Persons wishing to see a licensed therapist should request one; Referrals to other mental health professionals when needed
*Daily psychoeducation workshops focusing on anxiety and depression available via Zoom
*For a mental health crisis, the number is available for FSU students after hours and weekends; callers should leave a message and a counselor will return their call
