*DCF, ACCESS Florida is a system for persons/families with low-incomes to apply for public assistance benefits
*Benefits available for persons meeting eligibility guidelines:
*Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/Food Stamps/EBT)
*Temporary cash assistance (TCA, TANF),
*Medicaid insurance for health care
*Medicaid Share of Cost (aka Medically Needy) for medical bill assistance to low-income individuals and families not qualifying for Medicaid, but unable to pay medical bills; recipients required to pay a portion of medical bills each month before financial assistance available
*Applications for children determined not eligible for Medicaid will be referred electronically to Florida KidCare
*Adults who are former foster youth may be eligible for Medicaid under ACA up to age 26
*THREE WAYS TO APPLY:

2. Use website and search under "Find Your Local Office" to find caller's closest DCF office
3. Use website and search under "Community Partner Search" from "Find Your Local Office" page to find an agency that may offer the caller some level of assistance with the online application
*IMPORTANT RE: PARTNER SITES: Make sure the partner site serves the general public; It is in the caller's best interest to call a partner site before going to make sure the site is still functioning as a partner (there can be frequent changes not immediately available on the website), find out about days/times, and level of assistance offered (in many cases it may be just computer access with no other assistance)
*After applying, persons can provide or receive important information about their account, either by the website (which can include signing up for emails) or by calling main number if caller does not have website access
