*Services offered for currently enrolled FAMU students:
*Provide emotional support, short term counseling, and assistance to the victim of a crime
*Crisis intervention and referrals to social service agencies, including legal and medical services
*Gives information about victim rights according to FL statutes
*Explain, and help victims apply for Victim Compensation, and assist victim with impact statements
*Victims accompanied to appointments/interviews at police stations, State Attorney's Office, courtrooms, Dean of Students, judicial hearings, and other places
*The victim advocate holds confidentiality in high regard and will not release information without the student's consent
