*Must be referred by medical provider to receive hospice services, either inpatient or outpatient
*Continued in-home nursing and personal care services for persons with limited life expectancy through RN case managers, LPNs and home health aids
*Families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer!s or dementia can request financial aid support for respite care.
*Psychosocial and spiritual assistance offered by social workers and chaplains
*Children!s bereavement program where trained specialists offer child-specific counseling, support groups, literature and community education on children!s grief issues; Camp Connect day camp helps children cope with grief and connect with other children in the same situation
*Training specialists meet unique needs of children diagnosed with life threatening illness through home visits, school contacts, phone contacts, literature and workshops offered for children, parents and extended family members
*Volunteer opportunities for adults and teens (age 14 and up) to directly assist patients and families; help in office; be active in Speakers Bureau; assist with various community events
*Project Lifesaver provides Alzheimer!s patients with a watch-sized transmitter, emitting a 24-hour-a-day signal enabling local law enforcement and trained search-and-rescue teams, use the mobile locator tracking system to quickly and safely find the patient
*Program honoring veteran patients, veteran patients receive the recognition they deserve with a ceremony and farewell salute
