*PROGRAM IS NOT A HOMELESS SHELTER *Faith based program with two transitional houses in Tallahassee for men 18+ coming out of incarceration, rehabilitation, homeless shelter or other institution *Primary focus is on gaining employment and other needed skills to achieve and maintain independent living; program assists with finding employment; in some cases men may receive education at Lively, TCC, or other program in order to qualify for a particular job *No drugs or alcohol allowed and all applicants must be drug and alcohol free for three days before entering the program; applicants may not have special medical needs *Intake will include questions about occupation and work history, marital status and dependents, court charges, criminal history and probation information; applicant will be asked to provide his social security card and a picture ID during intake *Transitional housing cost is $130 a week and participants are able to work; some partial scholarships for those that lack funds; transitional housing cost is $130 a week and participants are able to work *Facility in Tallahassee also offers a community center so those in the program can socialize safely and take classes offered.

Tallahassee Men's Center, Teen Challenge

*Adult men's (18+) licensed counseling services and faith-based year-long residential programs for recovery from substance abuse and other life controlling addictions which accepts referrals from court system including men from outside of the Big Bend area *Program requires biblical study, regular church attendance, one-on-one mentoring, job training and active work in micro-business run by the program; GED study available when needed *Paperwork required includes a picture ID (driver’s license, state ID), a social security card (or letter from SS office stating you have applied), medical paperwork/tests (Physical, TB, HIV, HEP-C tests results), Medical Insurance Card (if covered, for incidental medical needs); Green Card (if a non-citizen permanent resident) *No private insurance accepted, not-for-profit is a low cost program $200 a month or $1800 a year (non-refundable) that turns no one away; those without funds work to pay for their treatment; clients on disabilty may be offered an alternative option

*Problem-solving court for families with an open juvenile dependency case involving a child 0 to 3 *Parent must request that their case enter Early Childhood Court (ECC) and voluntarily participate in the model which requires: willing to work a case plan and want to reunify with their child; and able to engage in a monthly meeting, monthly court hearing, and services, including child-parent psychotherapy to build, heal, or maintain their attachment with their 0-3 year old *ECC does not guarantee reunification for the parent and child; however, the parent will be supported by a team of professionals to overcome barriers they encounter as they work towards reunification
