***8/2/19: PROGRAM HAS ENOUGH FUNDS TO HELP ONE HOUSEHOLD PER MONTH *Program is ONLY for households who have an Eviction Notice and regular income; program has funds to help one household per month, can be a resident of any Big Bend county *Household is defined as at least 2 people living in the same home *Funding can cover past due rent or mortgage and past due utility bills for up to a total of $2000 *Eligibility: 1) Must have past due rent (or mortgage) and eviction notice 2) Must have regular source of income to be able to pay monthly rent and utilities in future (can include disability income and other benefits such as food stamps) 3) Cannot have received homeless prevention funds in the past 3 years *SCREENING FOR THE PROGRAM TAKES PLACE ONLY ON THE FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH FROM 9AM TO 5PM, AND IS ONLY DONE BY PHONE *The first household approved will be the recipient for that month; additional callers will not be placed on a waiting list

ECHO, Permanent Relocation Program

*Provides relocation assistance ONLY for persons or families forced to move from their home because it has been declared a dangerous structure by City of Tallahassee Code Enforcement *Often the home is declared a dangerous structure due to fire, flood or other disaster and the home must be within Tallahassee city limits *Eligible persons or families forced to move permanently by Code Enforcement action and who meet low-income guidelines may receive help with the following relocation services: hotel assistance, one month's rent, security deposit, utility deposit and moving expenses *Often people are referred to this program by the Red Cross or other agency that helps with disaster, but a referral is not required *Strongly recommended that persons who think they might be eligible first call ECHO for an over the phone screening
