*Provides delinquency prevention services through Office of Prevention and Victim Services targeting high-risk juveniles and others with problem behaviors: ungovernability, truancy, running away from home and other pre-delinquent behavior; entering the system depends upon seriousness of the offense *Programs include Florida Netw, City of Tallahassee-TEMPOork of Youth and Family Services, Inc, Practical Academic Cultural Education (PACE) Center for Girls, Florida Youth Challenge Academy (FLYCA), City of Tallahassee Community Connections, and Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida *Fees depend on severity of crime and sentence; Cost of Care fees will not exceed $5 per day for a child in custody (secure detention or residential commitment) or $1 per day for a child under community supervision with the Department (home detention, probation supervision, conditional release, non-residential commitment or post-commitment probation); if the Cost of Care fee will present a financial hardship, a reduction or waiver is available forms are available from Juvenile Probation Officers or the Juvenile Detention Center

Florida Network of Youth and Family Services

*Statewide agency provides information and referrals for both children/teens (6-17) and/or parents who are in crisis; agency does NOT provide direct services to callers *Serves as information and referral resource for CINS/FINS (Children in Need of Services/Families in Need of Services) and other agencies for families with a child persistently beyond the reasonable and lawful control of parents or guardians *Refers homeless, runaway, truant and at risk youth to shelters, respite care, and other helping agencies *Website has important information related to parents and youth in crisis: Parent Options (legal and otherwise) for ungovernable children, and legal rights for youth *Advocates for agencies who serve troubled youth providing training, quality improvement, contract management, data collection, research, and advocacy

National Runaway Safeline/CINS/FINS

*24-hour hotline counseling for runaway youth 12-21 or those considering running away, their families and friends; crisis intervention; information and referral; message delivery; conference calls *Referrals to Safe Place locations for local youth needing shelter or other youth service agency *Free bus rides home to qualified youth (12-21 who call the hotline) via Greyhound's Home Free program; conference call and follow-up services to help facilitate the transition *Shelters, law enforcement or social service agencies can contact the National Runaway Safe Line to secure services for a child *Bullying information and response *Qualified children and families provided: intake and assessment, crisis and general counseling targeted toward family stabilization, networking with other agencies to provide needed services, case management, and facilitation of temporary shelter when needed *Information and referral resource for the CINS/FINS (Children in Need of Services/Families in Need of Services) for families with a child habitually truant from school, runs away, or persistently beyond the reasonable and lawful control of parents or guardians; interested callers should ask specifically for the CINS/FINS program *Chat, text and email options available through website

*Weekly outpatient counseling for children, adolescents and young adults, ages 5-24 experiencing problems including but not limited to: substance abuse, behavioral problems, poor school attendance, depression, anxiety, anger and family issues; Family counseling and individual counseling for college students: substance abuse, trauma, high academic stress also available *Youth often referred by schools, the court system, DCF and other agencies, but self referrals welcome

*Free open parent support group run by masters and doctoral counselors offering training in the areas of adolescent development and behavioral strategies appropriate for this age group, substance use, violence, suicide prevention, AIDS/ HIV prevention, eating disorder recognition, and recognition of signs of abuse *One hour meetings take place at 5:30PM, 2nd and 4th M of each month open to anyone, every M open to clients; call if planning to attend and let them know on what night

*School Suspension Program-Alternative for Leon County students who would like to reduce the length of school suspension from ten to five days, consists of a brief evaluation along with substance abuse education; confidential program and school will only receive letters to confirm the student's participation and completion of program *School Intervention Program-Free on-site assessment, counseling, and referrals for Leon County students with attendance, behavioral or substance abuse problems who are referred anonymously *Victim Counseling-offers early identification, intervention, professional therapy, advocacy and victim compensation assistance to youth who are victims of and/or witnesses to violence; free on-site counseling provided to children who have been abused, bullied or neglected and their families; adults with trauma problems may be counseled in office
