*2023 DRIVE RUNS NOV 1ST THRU DEC 30 *Blue Ribbon Cleaners sponsors Coats 4 Kids Drive, promoted during the winter, but coats can be dropped off at any time of year at three Blue Ribbon Cleaners locations: 2107 Capital Circle NE, 32308; 1102 E Lafayette St, 32301; 1660-2 N Monroe St, 32303 *Business hopes to collect at least 2500 new or used coats for needy children in community; coats cleaned for free and given to Dept of Children and Families and some other non-profit organizations to be dispersed to children

*Non-profit providing hairpieces to children 21 years and younger suffering from any type of medical hair loss *Custom-fitted hair prosthetics free of charge *Accepts donated hair: minimum of 10 inches, bundled in a ponytail or braid, must be mailed clean and dry with donor's name and address

Secure the Call Foundation

*Charity of volunteers which accepts donated phones, repairs, and re-programs them for emergency-only 911 calls *Phones are then given to police departments, sheriff's offices, domestic violence shelters, neighborhood watch groups, and senior citizens centers which have applied for them and will distribute them for persons in need *Program is national; call to find closest drop-off site, or where to apply for a phone *For cities without a drop-off site, phones can be mailed *A free donor barrel can be sent to a host business, library, supermarket or other high traffic place for collection for four weeks, then returned in the same box it was sent in

Wakulla County Habitat for Humanity/Store

*Builds very modest homes sold at cost (materials, purchased labor, and land), for no profit and no interest with a 20 year mortgage to families that qualify and donate work hours on other homes *To qualify for a Habitat Home homeowners must demonstrate a need for safe, affordable housing, Habitat homeowners must partner with us throughout the process by helping to build their own home or the homes of others in our home ownership program, homeowners must also be able and willing to pay an affordable mortgage, for more information and to learn more about the process or how you can apply, please contact your local Habitat, or call 1-800-HABITAT (1-800-422-4828).

*Provides hair replacement solutions for children, under 18, affected by hair loss due to alopecia, chemotherapy, burns, and other medical conditions; must be referred by a medical professional *See web site for steps in applying for a wig *No cost to child/family; recipient can apply again the following year for a new hairpiece if the need still exists; Wigs For Kids provides one hairpiece per child per year free of charge to the recipient family pending approval of the application *Donated hair must be clean, dry, minimum length of 12 inches, in braids or ponytails; can not be colored or permed or have any other chemical treatments; can be cut at local salon, placed in plastic bag and mailed to address listed; see web site for directions
