*Offers tuition-free training and other career development services to at-risk young women and men, ages 16 to 24, meeting criteria to prepare them for successful careers

*Job Corps centers are located nationwide, with 4 locations in Florida; persons living in the Big Bend area should contact the Gainesville or Jacksonville center; actual work site location will depend on area of study

Eligibility:

16 to 24 years old; legal U.S. resident; lawfully admitted permanent resident alien, refugee, asylee, or parolee, or other immigrant who has been authorized by the US Attorney General to work in the US; or resident of a US territory; meet low-income criteria; face one or more barriers to employment such as: needing additional career technical training, education, counseling, and related assistance to complete regular schoolwork or to secure and maintain employment; can be a school dropout, a runaway, a foster child, a parent, or homeless; have signed consent from a parent or guardian if he/she is a minor; have a child care plan if he/she is the parent of a dependent child; other criteria may apply
